Soloup: Έχει σπουδάσει Πολιτικές στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο (Αθήνα) και είναι διδάκτωρ του τμήματος Πολιτισμικής Τεχνολογίας κι Επικοινωνίας του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου (Μυτιλήνη). Με γελοιογραφίες, comics, comicstrips (αλλά και με εικονογραφήσεις, γελοιογραφικά φωτομοντάζ και άρθρα σχετικά με τα σκίτσα) έχει εργαστεί σε αρκετές εφημερίδες και περιοδικά όπως «Το Ποντίκι», «Βήμα της Κυριακής», «Goalnews», «Βαβέλ», «Γαλέρα», «Ως3», «Σχεδία», «Μετρό» και αλλού.
Εκτός από τις εκδόσεις «Κέδρος» έχει ακόμα συνεργαστεί με τους οίκους «Πατάκη», «Futura», «Μεταίχμιο», «ΚΨΜ», «Στρατής», «Τόπος» και άλλους όπως και με το Παιδαγωγικό Ινστιτούτο. Μέχρι σήμερα έχουν εκδοθεί 13 προσωπικά άλμπουμ με γελοιογραφίες και comics ενώ το 2012 κυκλοφόρησε η διατριβή του «Τα Ελληνικά Comics», η πληρέστερη μέχρι σήμερα έρευνα για την ιστορία και την εξέλιξη των Ελληνικών εικονογραφηγημάτων. Το «Αϊβαλί», το πρώτο του μεγάλο graphicnovel, τιμήθηκε τον Μάιο του 2014 στα «Ελληνικά Βραβεία κόμικς» με τα βραβεία «καλύτερου κόμικς της χρονιάς» και του «Καλύτερου σεναρίου». Το «Αϊβαλί» κυκλοφορεί ήδη στα Γαλλικά και σύντομα και στα Τουρκικά.
Soloup (Antonis Nikolopoulos) is a well known caricaturist who collaborates with big newspapers and magazines in Greece. He studied Political Sciences at the Panteion University and obtained a PhD (Cultural Technology and Communication) by the University of the Aegean. He has published 13 books with comics and cartoons and his Phd on History of comics in Greece. His first graphic novel Aivali received the prize of the best comic and of the best scenario in 2015 Comicdom Athens. It is translated in French and Turkish and it is the first graphic novel which is subject of an exposition of Mpenaki Museum travelling all over Greece. In 2015 he participated at the collective exhibition “Ella” at Tricromia gallery in Rome and in the Ravenna festival.
Aivali deals with the violent expatriation that took place during the war in Asia Minor between the Greeks and the Turks, in the wake of World War I. First the Christians were driven out of their ancestral lands in 1922, and then the Muslims were removed from their homes during the population exchange between Greece and Turkey. This graphic novel is a pastiche of 5 stories. One story deals with today (chapters 1 and 6), while the others (chapters 2 through 5) go back to the past, to the humanitarian disaster of 1922 in Asia Minor and to the population exchange (Greeks and Turks, Christians and Muslims) as stipulated by the Convention of Lausanne.

Soloup (Antonis Nikolopoulos) a étudié les sciences politiques et est titulaire d”un doctorat en communication et techniques de la culture. Ses multiples caricatures, dessins, comic strips, photomontages et autres articles specialises paraissent dans divers hebdomadaires et magazines, dont to Pontiki, equivalent grec du Canard enchaine. Il a deja publie treize albums de dessins humoristiques et BD, ainsi que sa these. Ta Ellinika Comics (La BD Grecque), en 2012, considerée de l’histoire et de ‘ evolution de la bande dessinee grecque. Aivali que est son premiere roman graphique, a obtenu le prix du meilleur album e celui du meilleure scenario au festival de la bande dessineé Comicdom con Athens 2015.

Antonis Nikolopoulos, in arte Soloùp, è uno dei fumettisti e vignettisti maggiormente attivi del panorama greco attuale. È nato e vive ad Atene, dove attualmente lavora per il quotidiano To Pontiki – e collabora con tanti altri. Si laurea in Scienze Politiche all’Università Panteion, quindi consegue un dottorato di ricerca in Cultural Technology and Communication all’Università dell’Egeo (Lesbo). Attivo nello scenario mediatico e culturale ateniese sin dal 1989, le vignette di Soloup sono state pubblicate da diverse testate giornalistiche tra cui Vima tis Kiriakis, Goalnews, 6 Days, To Pontiki, e importanti riviste greche quali Babel, Galera, OS3 e lo street journal Schedìa. Nel 2012 pubblica Ta ellinikà comics un compendio sui maggiori esponenti dell’arte sequenziale nel panorama greco. Edito dalla casa editrice ateniese Topos, questo lavoro, esauriente ed enciclopedico, è forse l’unica raccolta che passa in rassegna il fumetto greco dal 1974 ai giorni nostri, presentandosi dunque come unico nel suo genere. Aivali è il titolo della prima graphic novel di Soloup e vede luce nel 2014, edita dalla casa editrice Kedros. Ricerca consapevole e dettagliata, il lavoro di Soloùp si presenta come un intreccio di sguardi, voci e racconti su uno dei momenti più drammatici della storia greca contemporanea successivamente al Trattato di Losanna del 1923, che sancì lo scambio di popolazioni tra Grecia e Turchia all’indomani della prima guerra mondiale.
